NECIA's Formula Student team unveiling their car!
NECIA's Formula Student team unveiling their car!

Wednesday, April 24th, NECIA, represented by André Tandberg, had the opportunity to witness the unveiling of Helix NMBU's car, which they will compete with in this year's Formula Student competitions. The team consists of 33 students from 10 different study programs at NMBU, with an age range of 19 to 26 years. The diversity of skills and study programs creates a unique opportunity for interdisciplinary collaboration, allowing all members to showcase their talents, ranging from marketing, acquiring sponsors, project management, design, development, to welding car parts.
The team is now aiming for qualification in Lund, Sweden in mid-June, and is working hard to achieve this goal.

As the main sponsor, NECIA is proud to see how far Helix has come with the car, and the great interest shown at the unveiling, which took place in a full and balloon-decorated auditorium at NMBU. Both fellow students and teachers came to support and cheer on the team, who were both excited and happy to finally showcase the car they have worked hard to complete. Even though there is still a little way to go before it is ready to drive, the atmosphere was electric during the unveiling, and applause echoed through the auditorium.

The unveiling was celebrated in true student fashion with cakes for all attendees. NECIA thanks for a superbly executed event, and we look forward to following the wonderful Helix students all the way to the starting line, and most importantly, the finish line!
