Short version
GreenOffshoreTech is a cluster-facilitated project aimed at supporting innovation in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and promoting the development of emerging industries within the Blue Economy by enabling new cross-sectoral and cross-border value chains based on common challenges and the implementation of Key Enabling Technologies (KET).
GreenOffshoreTech will facilitate the creation of new products, processes, or services with the ambition of making offshore production and transportation green, clean, and sustainable towards a resource-efficient economy and the EU Green Deal, while facing reindustrialization.

In a remarkable development for Norwegian and European technological innovation, the GreenOffshoreTech project, coordinated by NECIA in collaboration with MNU, is now at an exciting milestone. With Norway at the forefront, the project has achieved an impressive success rate by bringing forward 25 projects out of 82 possible, a feat that underscores the country's leading position in sustainable offshore technology.
Since its inception, the GreenOffshoreTech project, as part of the HORIZON 2020 Innosup 1 initiative, has been a catalyst for innovation and business development. By offering comprehensive business development services, we, along with partners, have supported 82 companies and invested over 2 million euros to realize their projects. This investment has not only accelerated the development of groundbreaking solutions, but also strengthened Europe's competitiveness in the global economy.
As the project now enters its final phase, the excitement is palpable. An additional funding round of 1 million euros is ready to reward the most promising innovations, to be determined in the final prototype phase. This is a unique opportunity for participants to demonstrate their contributions to future green technology solutions.
But it doesn't stop there. GreenOffshoreTech culminates in grand style during the "Investor Day and Final Event" in Hamburg, on 5th and 6th June 2024. This event not only promises to showcase the foremost innovations that have emerged from the project, but will also feature exciting competitions and attractive prizes for those who excel.
